Dr. Meagan Wademan, PT, DPT, USAW, CF-1 was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, and participated in premier traveling soccer for ten years. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Messiah College while playing on the Messiah Women’s Soccer Team. In her four years at Messiah, Meagan appeared in four National Championship games, winning two Division III National Championship Titles, in 2008 and 2009, and finishing her Messiah soccer carrier 97-2-3.
Upon graduating Messiah College, Meagan relocated to Baltimore where she worked in research on Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus and was introduced to CrossFit in 2012. While coaching CrossFit and exploring her new-found passion for Olympic Lifting, Meagan entered the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. While attending, Meagan advanced to the 2015 University Nationals for Olympic Weightlifting in Ogden, Utah.
In her third year, Meagan earned a 11-week clinical rotation with True Sports Physical Therapy which exposed her to a diverse population of athletes from local high school teams, to on site college athletic programs such as Morgan State and Coppin State. Upon graduating, Meagan was excited to accept a full time position at True Sports Physical Therapy.
Meagan is enjoys to working alongside athletes of all ages and levels to allow them to continue to enjoy and succeed in their sport while using evidence based practice. She is looking forward to using her knowledge in manual therapy and strength programing to work with CrossFit athletes, weightlifters, adaptive athletes, and our military and law enforcement throughout the Baltimore area.
