what others are saying
I thought I knew what quality physical therapy was. I had no idea, until I came to True Sports. I cannot begin to express how much better True Sports is compared to any other physical therapy experience I have had. I tore my ACL and meniscus playing soccer 7 years ago and have had a rough recovery including re-tearing the graft. I finally got a second repair surgery done (11 months ago) and with the help of True Sports, I am finally getting back to playing soccer again. I wish I went to them after the first surgery. I had my appointments at the Fells Point location which is spacious, well-equipped, and clean. What separates True Sports from others though are the extremely knowledgeable and professional therapists. During my 11 month post-operative experience here, I think I saw every therapist at least once. Every therapist brought new exercises and ideas to my rehab. I primarily saw Mary and Ken and both were amazing. They continued to adapt exercises to my ever changing strengths and weaknesses in my recovery and they really kept me on my toes. I felt that every exercise we did during therapy and every exercise assigned to me for home had a purpose in improving muscle weaknesses and knee mechanics. Further, they were able to explain everything very clearly. Everything is now feeling better than I ever expected. I would HIGHLY recommend True Sports (especially Mary and Ken) to everyone. I would classify my physical therapy and recovery as life-changing.
I was having some calf and Achilles issues leading up to a marathon I was training for. I aggravated the injury 4 days before i was suppose to run the New Jersey marathon. A friend recommended Mary at True Sports. I started working with Mary 2 days before I was suppose to run that marathon. I skipped the New Jersey marathon but had another one scheduled three weeks later. I worked with Mary to get better and ready for the Pocono marathon. Through a variety of treatment options and exercises over the next three weeks i was able to get ready and feel better for the Pocono marathon. I kept the runs to easy pace during this period. I was able to run the Pocono marathon without any injuries or calf issues. I didn't get the PR I was training for but got my secondary goal of a sub 4 hour marathon. Given everything leading up to that race, I was very happy with that time. Thank you True Sports and Mary for helping me get back to running and able to run the Pocono marathon!
