Dr. Ken Walrond
PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. Ken Walrond, PT, DPT, CSCS earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Sports Business Management from Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA. He played Division II collegiate baseball for the Mercyhurst Lakers. Ken went on to receive a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s School of Medicine (UMB). In his final year at UMB, Ken completed an 11-week clinical rotation with True Sports.
While earning his degree, Ken specialized in sports orthopedics, became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and performed injury prevention movement screens for local high school baseball players. He has worked with a diverse population of patients and athletes in the clinical setting.
Ken works closely with his patients to help them progress, relying on his background in athletics and strength and conditioning. He places a priority on helping his patients understand the rationale for their care and developing sustainable, independently manageable exercise and treatment regimens.
Outside of True Sports, Ken enjoys backpacking, fishing, and playing recreational sports.
