Dr. Ethan Hurd’s passion for physical therapy began at the young age of nine, when he accompanied his grandfather to physical therapy sessions. Witnessing the profound impact physical therapy had on his grandfather’s quality of life left a lasting impression. His personal recovery journey following shoulder surgery further deepened his interest in the field, particularly in treating overhead athletes and addressing injuries to the shoulder and elbow.
Ethan earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2021 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2023 from Lebanon Valley College. While at LVC, Ethan was a dedicated athlete, playing Division III baseball for four years as a catcher and outfielder. During his graduate studies, he also served as a Graduate Assistant Coach, further strengthening his connection to the athletic community and understanding of sports-specific rehabilitation.
After graduating in May 2023, Ethan began his career with True Sports Physical Therapy. In his time with the organization, he has treated a diverse range of patients, from Division I college baseball players to elderly individuals recovering from total hip replacements. His ability to work with people from all walks of life showcases his versatility and commitment to personalized care.
Ethan specializes in treating overhead athletes, powerlifters, and individuals with upper extremity injuries. His background as a collegiate athlete and his personal experience with injury allow him to empathize with his patients and create tailored rehabilitation programs that focus on both recovery and performance.
Dr. Ethan Hurd’s dedication to helping patients achieve their goals—whether returning to the field, lifting heavier, or regaining mobility—drives his practice. His blend of personal experience, academic excellence, and clinical expertise ensures each patient receives the highest level of care.
