Jimmy Spillane (PT, DPT, MS) decided to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy after achieving two Division III lacrosse national championships at RIT. His time there was marked by two hip surgeries, which instilled in him a deep appreciation for physical therapy and the humbling, rewarding journey of returning to sports after injury.
Jimmy earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tufts University in Boston, MA. He also holds a Master of Science in Health and Well-being Management and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from RIT.
Graduating in December 2023, Jimmy has since been working extensively with athletic populations, employing a range of treatments including strength, speed, agility, and manual techniques to reduce pain and improve motion.
Jimmy specializes in working with lacrosse players and swimmers, leveraging his personal athletic background and professional expertise to help his patients achieve their physical goals and return to their sports.
