Dr. Julianne Burrill

Julie Burrill's path to becoming a physical therapist is deeply rooted in her experiences as a lifelong competitive athlete and her journey toward optimizing her fitness and performance. Her desire to discover her true potential and help others achieve the same has been a driving force in her career.

Julie completed her academic pursuits at the University of Scranton, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Further demonstrating her commitment to fitness and performance, Julie is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a CrossFit Level-1 Trainer. These certifications complement her physical therapy skills, allowing her to integrate strength and conditioning principles into her therapeutic approach.

Julie's background as both a coach and an athlete has significantly influenced her passion for combining the science of rehabilitation with the art of performance. Her athletic career includes playing field hockey and softball, with her competitive spirit continuing through college as a member of the University of Scranton's Field Hockey team. Additionally, Julie enjoys running road races, including half marathons, and has recently begun competing in CrossFit. This diverse athletic experience provides her with unique insights into the needs and challenges of athletes in various disciplines.

Her expertise includes treating CrossFit athletes, weightlifters, powerlifters, runners, and she has a special focus on being a female athlete specialist. Julie's ability to cater to a wide range of athletes showcases her versatility as a physical therapist.

To further enhance her skills, Julie has completed multiple continuing education courses focusing on the treatment of athletes and active adults, as well as addressing pelvic floor dysfunction in athletes. This commitment to ongoing education ensures that she stays abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy and sports medicine.

In addition to her clinical work, Julie enjoys connecting with leaders in the physical therapy and fitness world through hosting a podcast. This endeavor allows her to share knowledge, discuss current trends, and explore new ideas in physical therapy and fitness, contributing to her professional growth and the broader community.
